Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Our apricot buds are starting to swell....way too early as we  will undoubtedly get a cold snap.

At this time of year we usually have a few feet of snow on the ground (3-4). This morning I could see the grass.

No one has seen a winter like this around here before that I have talked to.  Currently we are getting a couple of inches of snow. -13 tonight getting above freezing by the end of the week.

I'm somewhat worried that we may get a real cold snap with no snow to protect plants.

We just planted a couple of Paw Paw's in the fall that we grew from seed. The very warm winter may end up causing problems.

A plastic tent might help. I saved the blooms on an azelia bush from an April frost a couple of years ago with one made from found sticks and painters plastic drop cloth. But that is only likely to help if the freeze is by only a few degree. With my flowers I only have the consolation that I have done what I could.
