Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

After first read (and exploring the links), i'm nearly speechless. Many saw this coming, but i can't believe it was expected to be as draconian as it is.

Thanks for posting, Talos, much success, and stay safe.

here is where the neolib rubber meets the road.

on max keiser the other day he referred to it as 'financial sadism', and this great diary clearly spells out the effects of decisions made hundreds of miles away, where money is so much more important than the peoples' wellbeing, it's not even on the same map.

historical irony, greece the country which first iterated democracy, now the gallows on which it's hanged.

the arab world is breaking its chains, yearning for some kind of moral government, now europe's real values challenge emerges.

is it money in the service of people, an efficient tool to spread growth and health to an economy, or a cudgel to enforce servitude of the weak to the strong.

italy, spain and portugal, take a long hard look at greece right now. if they can pull it off there, we're next.

good luck Talos, and thanks for standing up for all of us!
