U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Confirms Anti-Semitic Pamphlets Are 'Real Deal'

Speaking with CNN host Jake Tapper, Amb. Geoffrey Pyatt said that the "chilling" leaflets which force Jews to register their property and religion with the government or face consequences have been released by that city's pro-Russian insurgent authority.

"Everything that we're hearing suggests that this is the real deal, and that it is coming from somebody on the ground there among these radical groups," Pyatt said, "either to stir fear or to create provocation justifying further violence."

Jews cast doubt on origin of anti-Semitic flyers in Donetsk

(Jerusalem Post) - Leaflets calling on Jews in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk to register themselves with pro-Russian separatists may not be the work of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic, Jewish groups have said.

Jewish Donetsk website is suggesting it's fake

Leaflets were signed "people's governor" Donetsk's Republic Denis Pushilin. However, it soon appeared that Denis Pushilin categorically rejects any involvement. Moreover, he assured the members of the Jewish community of Donetsk, he was not involved in the provocation.  The same thing he said on the air and the SEC "Donbass", noting that he never called himself a people's governor that the seal is clearly a fake.
