Six Israelis Arrested For Murder Of Palestinian Teen Had Criminal Records And "Nationalistic" Motive

The six suspects were Jewish Israelis who came from Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, and the settlement of Adam. They were united, said police, through their mutual following of the Beitar Jerusalem soccer group. "They were, most of them, known to police. They have been engaged in acts of disturbances before." He said that the group had been tied to an attempt the day before to kidnap 9-year-old Musa Zalloum from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat.

...
La Familia organized a protest in which they unfurled a giant yellow banner in Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium that read "Beitar Will be Pure Forever" -- a surreal echo of the Nazi slogans used against the Jews.

I have found no evidence online that the person with this name even exists (Google finds no mention of him older than 2 days), let alone was arrested. The Samaria council (or whatever it's called) took down their tweet after a very short time (because it was wrong?). The only other source, that I cited, which is probably the original, is obviously a lie. Even Silverstein can make a mistake from time to time.

Note that previous leaks (such as the fact that the Israelis were dead) were by Facebook posts by Israeli journalists using their own names, knowing that the Israeli government would be unlikely to risk the bad press of going after them in a case that really doesn't involve national security. This is not the case here.

Incidentally, I have seen hints elsewhere that the Beitar connection is true, but I can't make up my mind if it's just an inference from this tweet or has more behind it (I suspect the latter).

You too haven't read my post.  How can you declare anything relevant to it spurious without doing so?  At any rate, Rabbi Ezra Batzri is the Av Beyt Din in Jerusalem.  Ezra Batzri is his grandson.  Why do you believe if you can't find a reference in GOogle to someone it means they don't exist?

As for removing the FB posting (NOT a tweet), it violated the gag order.  I'd expect the police to have demanded it be removed.  Again, removal often indicates censorship, not that it was wrong.  The Baylis posting was from a different FB account & NOT the original. It's obviously a stupid joke meant to distract attention from Batzri and his terror cell.

Lack of a reference to someone on Google is not proof that someone does not exist, but one would expect someone spreading rumours to have a bit more to go on. And why did you change the name from Yitchak to Ezra?

And since you're here, how about explaining where the idea he was the leader came from? It's not in the post you quoted.

Pretty nasty attitude from someone who has been misled by a hoax message. I suggest you post the question at Richard Silverstein's blog Tikun Olam - Leader of Terror-Murder Cell Follower of Shas and Beitar Jerusalem.  Forced by internal political division, PM Netanyahu expanded the collective punishment for the Palestinian people.

Operation Solid Rock, Gaza Invasion, Begins

This is the second day of Operation Protective Edge ("Solid Rock"). So far, 27 Palestinians have been killed, eight of them children, by massive Israeli air strikes. Two Israelis have been injured lightly. This is the first stage of what will eventually move to a ground invasion. That's why 40,000 Israeli reservists have been called up.  Don't believe media reports in which Netanyahu and Yaalon say Israel "may be forced" to invade. They are going to invade according to my Israeli source.

Interesting how pointing out a hoax message becomes falling for it.

As for responding over there, he posted here so should stay around to answer for himself. All he (assuming it was really him posting here) did was claim that I hadn't read his post carefully, while not bothering to point out what I had missed - I have better things to do than waste time arguing with people with this type of meaningless debating style.

But I did read his post carefully, as a result. It's worse than I realised:

  • The reference to him being the leader is provided with no hint of where he comes from

  • The discussion of his grandfather's politics obviously suggests that this led directly to what the grandson did. This may be the case. But it also may not. There is no mention of the fact that the accused (if he really exists) would be the son of his father's first marriage, who subsequently married a second woman in a bigamous marriage (with his grandfather's approval...). It could just as well be this family history that led him to becoming a shababnik and hence to the murder.

Furthermore, no other site has taken up this story, even Failed Messiah who generally loves any story of Haredim behaving badly. It looks like it doesn't pass the smell test for anybody. This doesn't mean it's wrong, just that there is no evidence for it.

Actually, there's one exception. I found a reference to it on a site by one Allain Jules, who seems to be linked to Dieudonné . You might want to check this out, and, if I'm right, rethink the company you're unintentionally keeping.

Just to clear that up, richards1052 is verifiably Richard Silverstein of Tikun Olam.

Thanks. His showing up to post twice and never responding made me a little bit suspicious....
