Takata is bankrupt because the US imposed a $1B fine on the corporation for marketing defective equipment said to have killed eleven US vehicle passengers to date.

VW is not bankrupt despite US fines totaling $14B because either (1) VW is a 'systemically significant' financial services beneficiary protected by the German hegemon,(2) current and future VW earnings belie bankruptcy calculations (3) DoJ cannot identify 16 and 94 deaths over seven years with any specificty attributable to VW 'clean diesel' emissions but not US commercial and municipal fleet 'clean diesel' emissions,(4) the US is not a leader of GHG mitigation, and (5) BoJ is not 'bailing out'either Takata, GM, or VW.

Clarification - Israel deplores any expression of anti-Semitism in any country and stands with Jewish communities everywhere in confronting this hatred.

This was the sole purpose of the statement issued by Israel's ambassador to Hungary. In no way was the statement meant to delegitimize criticism of George Soros, who continuously undermines Israel's democratically elected governments by funding organizations that defame the Jewish state and seek to deny it the right to defend itself.

Meanwhile, an open microphone captured Netanyahu's rant in which he said :

I think Europe has to decide if it wants to live and thrive or if it wants to shrivel and disappear.

And what is killing the EU ? Are you ready to find out?

Why, trying to restart the Israel/Palestine peace process.

Israeli airline can't make women move seats for religious reasons, court rules - Guardian
As an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor and a former lawyer, Renee Rabinowitz might seem an unlikely figurehead in Israel's culture wars.

Rabinowitz has been thrust into the spotlight over an issue that has become an increasingly familiar problem for airlines flying in and out of Israel: ultra-orthodox men who refuse to take their seats next to women, demanding changes in seating and sometimes causing delays.

After successfully suing the country's national carrier, El Al, for gender discrimination and winning a landmark ruling, Rabinowitz's stand now means that flight stewards can no longer request female passengers move seats to accommodate ultra-orthodox men who do not want to sit next to them.

El Al mentioned they "will respect the verdict" and train their employees.

Death Sentence for Arizona Senator McCain?

Personally I wish everyone well and the best health care medical specialists can provide. The government should we willing to extend health care to all as a basic human right. Corporatism and Politics often play an evil role in welfare of all the nation's citizens. From a political view, I hope the senator retires sooner than later.

US Senator John McCain diagnosed with brain cancer | DW |

Arizona senator and former presidential candidate John McCain was reviewing treatment options after being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, his office said. President Trump wished the 80-year-old a speedy recovery.

Daughter praises McCain's courage

The latest cancer diagnosis comes after doctors removed several malignant melanomas on McCain's skin in the 1990s and 2000s, including an invasive melanoma in 2000.

McCain's daughter Meghan McCain issued a statement after the diagnosis was made public, saying that her father remained "confident and calm."

Actually, Trump didn't just wish him a speedy recovery. He actually said
"We hope John McCain gets better very soon because we miss him," Trump said at a White House event billed as a start to its "Made in America" week. "He's a crusty voice in Washington. Plus we need his vote. And he'll be back. And he will be back sooner than somebody else would be back. He'll be back soon. But we need that vote. And we need a number of votes. Because we need to repeal Obamacare."
Always about himself. Notice the assumption that after getting all that expensive state-funded health care, he's still certain that McCain will vote to deny it to lots of other Americans.

o, don't be so harsh. Why only this past Monday, NPR reported.

Sen. McCain's Recovery From Blood Clot Surgery Threatens GOP Health Care Vote

DAVIS: Audie, President Trump also spoke about John McCain today. He described him appreciatively as being one of D.C.'s crusty voices, and he said he was hoping to get him back in Washington soon in particular because he needs his vote. Now, what we know about McCain according to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix - as you said, he's recovering back at home. And the next step is they're waiting on the tests of a pathology report. And once they have that, they'll know if any additional care is necessary and if he could potentially be kept away from Washington for some time.

Apparently he has glioblastoma.
The most common length of survival following diagnosis is 12 to 15 months, with fewer than 3% to 5% of people surviving longer than five years. Without treatment survival is typically 3 months.

Increasing age (> 60 years of age) carries a worse prognostic risk.
