At the Thee Seas Summit he promised to deliver LNG to Eastern Europe and oust Russian gas. Great timing for the GCC blockade of Qatar and the world's largest gas deposits in the Persian Gulf.

Quite an amazing quick turnabout after the failure to conquer Syria and the opportunity for gas transport lines.

Trump was to hold a major speech in Warsaw's central Krasinski Square. Organizers expect thousands, or even tens of thousands, to attend. Many of them will have been bussed in for free by Poland's ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) , according to Polish news reports.

The hundreds of thousands of Polish-American voters in the United States represent an important constituency in several battleground states, and last year they helped give Trump the edge he needed in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

US national security adviser HR McMaster said Trump's speech, which is to memorialize the Warsaw uprising against Nazi occupation, would contain "a vision, not only for America's future relationship with Europe, but the future of our transatlantic alliance and what that means for American security and American prosperity."

"It is important that President Trump feel good about his visit to Poland," PiS lawmaker Stanislaw Pieta told the AFP news agency.

The US president was also to meet the leaders of 12 eastern European countries attending the Three Seas Conference ,  a meeting of the nations bordering the Adriatic, Baltic and Black seas. Trump arrived in Warsaw late on what is his second foreign trip as president.
