○ Informed consent for clinical treatment
I have not been limited in any way or confronted with the costs of this treatment. There hasn't been any delay from the moment an abnormality was found in a standard blood test. Within days I met the specialist oncology who initiated all necessary tests before a full diagnosis was determined and a choice of treatment was proposed.
I was offered the standard treatment for my case as the latest cancer research has found most effective. And I was offered an alternate route to participate in an experimental setting with another hospital. It took me no more than ten seconds to decline that offer. Global Warming - distance between America and Europe is steadily increasing.
Filed in "bio-ethics": informed consent. I have a few books in my stacks that are somewhat dated. I got them, while researching subject matter pertaining to so-called best practices in "knowledge management."
Thank you for responding. Diversity is the key to economic and political evolution.
