Two Things (none / 0)
First, AFAIK - and I don't know much! - all of these trades are handled by computers.  Whether the computers are physically in London or Paris or Nairobi matters not a whit.  

Second, if this system is not backed-up by another system, in another country, running the trades, etc., in parallel and in background with the primary system everyone associated with these exchanges, down to the guy who brings the sandwiches on Thursday afternoon, are cretins.
