McCabe is in swampy company. The pension story is sinking under the weight of Brennan's torturous opprobium, Schiff's equivoccal loyalty to him, gallant employment offers, and the facts of the matter --McCabe is 50, and he hasn't lost his pension. He lost a luxury few Americans working the private-sector will every have, an option to cash out early and a book deal (forthcoming, probably). An anthology of memos-to-self, perhaps. It's a growth market.
