Macron, a fierce Brexit critic, has elegantly played on British insecurities by sidling up to the president of the United States. He's Trump's French poodle. But isn't that our prime minister's role? Did Theresa May's tender hand-holding moment with President Trump mean absolutely nothing? It's hard to exaggerate how quickly Brits can go from disgust at Trump to jealousy that France is muscling in on his affections.
CCIA, a lobby group that represents Google and other tech firms like Amazon, criticised the move. "It is hard to see how such last minute change was guided by anything other than politics," Jakob Kucharczyk, CCIA's vice president said.
European Commission is the EU's politically independent executive arm. It is alone responsible for drawing up proposals for new European legislation, and it implements the decisions of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.
I admit, the none of the several presidencies (EP, EC, Council) established to date by members of EU gov have attained a similar distinction or palpable constituencies. Therein lies, Mr Kissinger notoriously noted, the charming anarchy of the Union.
You may admit, now, the form that the people's bureaucracy assumes on any given day in no way belies their political purposes. Diversity is the key to economic and political evolution.
18 member states, including France, Germany, Italy and the UK, have endorsed a Commission proposal to further restrict the use of three active substances use in pesticides (Bayer's imidacloprid and clothianidin, and Syngenta's thiamethoxam). I'm so sad about Amber's departure from government - she was a huge asset - brave, principled, thoughtful, humane, considerate and always thinking of the impact of policy on the vulnerable - I hope Amber will be back soon - we need her— Michael Gove (@michaelgove) April 29, 2018

The current Cabinet is an uneasy balance between leavers and remainers. Rudd was a remainer and so had to be replaced by one. Gove is a leave-ultra and so couldn't be her replacement.
Right now, they're hoping to make it to the weekend with no more hassles and then the royal wedding will blow it all away keep to the Fen Causeway
Although Anttila says the campaign got an overwhelmingly positive response in Finland, and indeed won an award, not everyone was equally enthusiastic over the decision to cast a young expectant African mother in a campaign designed for a western audience - Plan Finland explained that the campaign ran in Finland only.
According to the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction EMCDDA, there were 194 cases of death due to drug overdose in 2016 - an increase of 28 cases on the previous year. The agency has based its findings on data provided by Statistics Finland. The agency found that men are over-represented in the proportion of deaths caused by drug overdose, which is one of the leading causes of death among men under the age of forty in Finland. In fact, fatal drug overdose cases rank alongside suicide, cancer and accidents as one of the most common causes of death in this age group. The agency reported that more than two-thirds of drug overdose fatalities - some 77 percent - involve men.

Reductions will hit the so-called cohesion funds used for development in poorer European nations [and] the EU's Common Agricultural Policy will also be scrutinized for cuts.
