European Parliament Fines for Shocking Remarks Vacated
Both sets of comments prompted European Parliament President Antonio Tajani to levy several penalties against the MEP: cutting his daily [?] subsistence allowance [?] to the tune of about $18,000
[...]
After pointing to Parliament's own acknowledgement that the MEP's remarks did not cause disorder or disruption, the General Court rejected the argument that the harm Korwin-Mikke caused to Parliament's reputation and institutional standing amounted to a disruption.

That sum sounds more like the monthly allowance for assistants.

MEPs have - unless it has changed a lot since I had reason to check it - a monthly salary of about 7,000 euros and a bit more then twice that for assistants. Then there is some perks, but those two are the big ones.

A gig at the EPA in DC looks like your best bet for that:

Pruitt: EPA staff was given authority to approve raises for staffers - The Hill

The EPA gave big raises to Millan Hupp and Sarah Greenwalt, two longtime aides of Pruitt's who came to the EPA with him from Oklahoma. The agency used a special authority to give the raises after the White House rejected the request.

Documents released by the EPA's Office of Inspector General showed Pruitt's chief of staff Ryan Jackson signed off on the raises, noting "for Scott Pruitt."

So, let's see : in order to have his pocket money cut, he has to satisfy BOTH of :
  • exhibit defamatory, racist or xenophobic language or behavior in parliamentary debates
  • cause disruption

i.e. if the other MEPs just sit there and nod sagely, nothing happens. If they punch him in the face, he gets fined.

I'll bear that in mind in case I end up in parliament :)
