Google Case Set to Examine If EU Data Rules Extend Globally
"The technology giant is set for a showdown at the European Union Court of Justice in Luxembourg on Tuesday [11 SEPT] with France's data privacy regulator over an
order to remove search results worldwide upon request."
a 2015 decision by the French regulator requiring Google to remove results for all its search engines on request, and not just on European country sites.
wut: individual requests "to be forgotten" require Google to delete personal identifying data from Google database tables. Cleaning Google's tables could be as simple as eliminating the primary key ("pull the roots") or as thorough as also deleting all related non-prime attributes of the key ("dead head the flower"). The order need not apply directly to proprietary DB systems, because the order is forecloses search for a specific entry in Google index of all websites. Compliance isn't a geography problem.

Diversity is the key to economic and political evolution.
