To be precise, they asked government to reassess if informing partner about HIV positive status should be required by law, since properly treated HIV is unlikely to be transmitted.

Kinda like making laws to reflect evolving understanding of reality.

Those with properly treated HIV are already exempt.

The suggestion is that the same will now apply to people who have had no treatment.
