A great number of people are unaware of the FBI  functions or that the bureau, established by Pres. T. Roosevelt, was always intended to be a secret police force of the executive branch. This same number of people evidently have never even reviewed the FBI's own historical narratives of its origin, published by the FBI online. They couldn't tell you when US odious belatedly enacted its institution and regulation; but they purport knowledge of US "norms" and laws.
