For these calculations, "women of color" are all women not noted by the Census Bureau as "white alone, non-Hispanic." By subtracting the number of women who identify as only white and not Hispanic or Latino (100,390,857) from the total number of women (163,189,523), the estimated number of women of color in 2015 was found to be 62,798,666. Women of color's shares of the U.S. population and of the female population were calculated using this number.
