Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Seems to be conflicting reports of how many votes are outstanding in GA.  State Dems say 70k.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (ATL's big newspaper) says 50k.  Nobody's quite sure, seemingly.

Biden needs to close an 18k gap, so this is quite possible given where the ballots are and how they're breaking.

If the higher estimates are right, perhaps doable with some room to spare.  We'll find out at 11AM Eastern when they post more results.

Then Nevada will have more results at 12PM.

Arizona won't update until 9PM.

My guess is Biden will take the lead in Pennsylvania today, and the networks will call it.

Georgia's Secretary of State says they should be done around noon.

N. Carolina is still in play as well, although I think Trump may have a slight edge there, as has Republican senator Tom Tillis.

It's technically still in play, but it doesn't seem like there's enough mail vote left for Biden to overcome it.  That said, NC accepts ballots postmarked by election day until, I think, November 12th or so.

So they'll hold off on calling it.

One of my favorite things going on right now is everybody berating pollsters over pre-election work but taking those ridiculous exit polls -- which haven't even been reweighted based on county and precinct data yet (as they always are) -- as the Gospel.

It's going to be a year or more before we really have a good sense of the size of the shifts within groups, once groups like Pew Research Center have a chance to do deep dives.

That's if we ever do.

What I get from the results, as I've said:

1/ Trump made very real gains with Latino folks, especially Cubans.

2/ Biden made very real gains with suburbanites.

Be nice to America. Or we'll bring democracy to your country.

It's Friday, is a correct assumption for today. Biden will go over 270 EVs and never look back! Hurrah
