I think the older generation is still living in the past where the ruling elite in Ireland still looked to the UK for the default way to deal with every problem. They don't seem to realise younger people have moved on and don't look to the UK for much any more. Index of Frank's Diaries

Considering the "Well that's settled - time to move on" narrative that's being pushed by the Tories, the LibDems, Labour, and all the major papers - except for the extremists who still want No Deal - it's increasingly hard to wonder if these efforts aren't coordinated.
