Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

So. 3M CEO lets slip that FDA and CDC regulation of respirators had been a long-standing barrier to PPE specs available to hospitals. That is until 2 March the PREP Act (2005) "expansion" of N95 applications for health care delivery in USA.

That's interesting. That is some truly interesting emergency management and INFECTIOUS DISEASE expertise--political economy even--at work in this great nation. It certainly shines hot light on sophomoric APsplainin China's manufacture and export failures in matching EXCLUSIVE US demand for PPE (minus US tariffs, workforce quarantines, laborforce deaths, resource allocation in the period US fed gov was getting its war on). Don't get me started on US corp "factoryless" accounting and re-imports.

Imports of medical supplies plummet as demand in US soars

tbh, my regard for AP editorial management has hit rock bottom.
