Seems unlikely there will be an opportunity to make progress on a UK-US agreement of any sort until next year.

Given the ongoing collapse of the US COVID-19 strategy, the election campaigns just now getting rolling, and the predictable turmoil of the last two months of the current US administration, the UK can pretty much count on nobody picking up the phone on this side of the pond until next February or March...
