hmm, CQ Roll Call reporter phoning it in to C-SPAN presenter from unknown location sez, shots have been fired (in or around Statuary Hall). Hand-held vid of tear gas plumes, "protestors" dispersing at leisurely pace around Capitol. uh oh. Sumbuddy tweeted pic of Proud Boy "leader" (who was supposed to have been exiled by D.C.) sitting in House speaker's chair.

"Embedded" CQ Roll Call reporter, Niels, is terrified, but sufficiently coherent to organize a (cell) phone tree with press pool "sheltering in place".

FYI: I quit  C-SPAN coverage of the SIEGE when Greta (C-SPAN presenter) switched to streaming caller comments ~ 4 PM EST. The first clue was quantity tears, sippy cup.
