Hope Japan can keep it up. They're pretty close to eradication.
It's also a show case of what you could have used the vaccinations for if you weren't deep into magical thinking about herd immunity. Basically they were very effective in preventing infection for a (very) few months after finishing the course and Japan started late, but once they started they vaccinated everyone pretty efficiently. I guess being used to wearing masks also helps.
Now if they just could squash the last clusters and implement a comprehensive quarantine requirement before they get a helping of Omicron...
