Charles Gascoigne (Карл Гаскойн)

In 1784, Knowle's successor, Admiral Samuel Greig, ordered guns for the Russian Navy from the Carron Company. In an effort to improve Catherine the Great's weapons foundry at Petrozavodsk.

Gascoigne stayed twenty years in Russia, became a State Councillor and a Knight of Saint Vladimir, received the Order of St Anne.
