Reports: Israel bought vaccines for Syria as part of prisoner swap deal | Ynet News |

Speaking at a news conference Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "not one Israeli vaccine" was involved in the deal.

But he did not address the issue of whether Israel paid for Russian vaccines, and he said Russia insisteer on keeping details of the swap secret.

The Prime Minister's Office has declined further comment.

.,.
Gideon Saar, a former Netanyahu ally who is now running to unseat him in the March 23 elections, said Sunday that the government's "censorship of something that Damascus and Moscow know about, and Israeli citizens don't, is incomprehensible."

Israel and Syria remain in an official state of war and Israeli citizens are officially prohibited from visiting Syria. Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes on Iranian-linked targets in the country since the start of its civil war a decade ago.

Palestinian Authority: Israel, as occupying power, must provide COVID-19 vaccines to the Palestinians | Gulf News

Delivery of vaccines to gain influence: SARS CoV-2 Diplomacy.

Gaza receives 20,000 Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine doses from UAE | France24 - 3 hrs ago |

Last week, Mohammed Dahlan, a former top member of Abbas's Fatah party now exiled in the United Arab Emirates, announced the delivery of the vaccines as a "generous grant" from Abu Dhabi.

Dahlan, currently a security adviser to UAE strongman Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, has claimed credit for the delivery, which some Palestinians are seeing as a political move ahead of May and July legislative and presidential polls.

Once again the Gulf States are intervening and competing to sow division, not in pursuit of peace or humane treatment. Dahlan is a traitor to the Palestinian people, worked as agent for Israel and now for the UAE Sheiks. Hamas had been funded by Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood. Same feud blocked peace in Libya, Syria after US/NATO intervention for regime change. UGLY
