These jobs used to be done by hard working east Europeans who were raised,educated,and trained at no cost to the UK. The sort Tories and Brexiteers like to look down on as potential welfare spongers or as increasing demand for NHS and educational services.
These jobs are beneath the British middle class and used to be done a longer time ago (by me) and Irish summer students who can now get better paid jobs in Ireland. Hopefully the east Europeans will now be able to find work in their home countries and contribute to GDP and prosperity there.
The UK has had an almost free ride on these foreign workers for very long time and given them nothing but contempt in return.Time for the Eton/Oxbridge students to get some summer jobs to see how he other half live. Index of Frank's Diaries

Before the third way and "globalization" profiting the larger multinationals we had the National employer's federation pressing politics to accept Italians and Greeks ... than we got the Spanish after Franco ... EEC expansion to incorporate more nations made choice of migrant workers easy to return home to friends and relatives ... then followed low paying wages to Moroccans and Turks on temporary work permits ... the EC comprises 27 nations with a population near half a billion ... what are we do to with an economic recovery to pre-pandemic levels ⁉️
