East-German border guard?

Creating his own makeshift stage on Alexanderpaltz, Wolf Biermann played a rendition of "Comandante Che Guevara," in which he paid homage to Che, with a red star on the breast of his jacket and a cigar resting on his lips, as an icon of revolutionary socialism.

Biermann used the political song to launch a leftist critique of the East German state in the very language of international solidarity that the state was espousing.

Ulrike Meinhoff was a German domestic terrorist leading the Rote Armee Fraktion (RAF), likely funded by the Stasi of GDR and Libya's Gaddafi. The Mossad infiltrated the group and used its underground network to assassinate the Palestinians responsible for the Munich 1972 massacre. Israel's Operation Wrath of God.

Meinhoff was never considered a revolutionary.
