Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Let's not get carried away...

First of all, the Chevaline murders ("Tuerie de Chevaline" in French) are no "cold case": the investigations have never stopped, even though no breakthrough have been made thus far. Actually, a new investigation team has been assigned last September: they organized a major 2-day re-enactment on the crime scene (Sept. 30- Oct. 1).

Following that, they reviewed all the deposition from the different witnesses, including the man who was kept in police custody, to "double check timeline elements". The man, a Lyon based business owner, has been first heard in 2015 and released. he was released again earlier this afternoon.

At this point, not a single new development that we know of: the mystery still stands.

As you reported above, this collective murder has generated a frenzy of wild speculation, but so far, that's all there is: speculation.
