He also asked help from Collective Security Treaty Organization, and it seems to be responding.

He has also already started to hit back: the airport is returning to normal after an anti-terrorist operation cleared it from rioters.

Considering the amount of small arms captured by the rioters and how freely they have used them to shoot security forces, I assume there will be a number of bodies before the situation clears. It's likely to pacify (and I really hope so) quite fast when the security forces actually put up a fight (with help of military, both local and foreign), but the president also wants to get the weapons back.

Chinese firms' energy projects in Kazakhstan remain safe: sources

China has imported 4.02 million tons of natural gas from Kazakhstan from January to November in 2021, according to statistics from Chinese Customs. Natural gas imports from Russia totaled 10.82 million tons, and 21.92 million tons from Turkmenistan.
