Clear planned provocation from across the Atlantic .. continuation of Rumsfeld and division of Europe into New -Bucharest Nine- and Old Europe. Same policy Bush-Obama-Trump and clearly a threat to the National Security of Russia. No room for talks, nor diplomacy. The US is well prepared to inflict damage to Europe.

The question then is how much damage they have to inflict before Europeans wake up from their evil trance?

Do we need an actual aggression, serious threat of war or just a breather for the sanity to return and Europeans to realize that security arrangements in Europe are purely European business?

Two decades of militarized disinformation, especially from the US and UK. Lacking historical facts and knowledge causing delusion by many. Political leaders in Europe are preoccupied with internal quarrels ... defense is outsourced to NATO under US Command ... no courage to stand up against the mass murders committed by US Forces. No accountability ...

Add to this a completely locked academic system (no other option now that to go through the filtering of EU projects, which are being strongly oriented politically in the last decade). And have we heard about the (local) cultural sector these last two years? Not much, in comparison to the role of small companies in most local activities outside of the main urban centres.

Pure marketing of EU "ideas".

Tom, can you be more specific about what you dislike in the culturalfoundation.eu programs?
Perhaps give examples of what other cultural initiatives they should be promoting instead?

Well, precisely, my problem with it after receiving it for two years is that I don't see much programs.. They have vacancies for a director and for a 'digital communications assistant' but have no open calls for any cultural project. As if small cultural entities had not suffered in the last 2 years. The big ones get funding through the EU QE program, which basically goes to the rent of prestigious buildings.
As with many EU websites, it is a window with nothing behind. Here is an example (i ll have to train my embedded link skills again, sic.)
programmes
Then, you click on programmes, and you arrive here, let's check the thematic 'experience' (whatever that is supposed to mean)
experience
and there you get to another empty ballon, with many balloons, so let's try one, pompously called EU cultural elations platform...
Oh, a beautiful page about some EU/UAE cooperation... back in 2020 for the Dubai world exhibition....

As usual. Nothing for EU citizens. Everything for communication and an hubristic EU who pretends to stretch from Yokohama to Hawai. The so-called independent foundation is just doing for the EU the job that marketing agencies do for more money (and of course, the EU has money for those as well).

Musing in the website ("Support us") I found the very best page... was looking for any report on their finances, and found that they did not even find the time to finish their page about the testimonies from donators, which all go like "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Morbi nec pretium justo. Donec eleifend massa est, non tristique est ultricies sit amet. Nam eget est aliquam, malesuada justo non, ornare nisi."

Yes this foundation has been around for 50 years... and the website has a distinctive 1990s feel to it.
The funded project seem worthy enough.
