Pharmacists are warning of patchy supplies of rapid Covid tests following changes to self-isolation rules

Just now the UKHSA announced to abandon the need to get confirmation of a positive self-test result with an official PCR test.

UKHSA has confirmed that the requirement for asymptomatic people testing positive on lateral flow to do confirmatory PCR will be suspended - from Jan 11 in England - devolved administrations possibly sooner.

Two years ago due to high number of Covid-19 cases the government suspended their test and trace program.

The NHSTT programme is a £10bn national cross-government programme chaired by Baroness Dido Harding, reporting directly to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Secretary.
