Responding to a question as to whether the was fired from Russia, Biden said.

There is preliminary information that contests that. I don't want to say that until we completely investigate.

But it is unlikely in the lines of the trajectory that it was fired from Russia, but we'll see."

The president added that it was "unlikely" the missile was fired from Russia possibly due to the weapon's trajectory.
He described Russia's continued missile attacks on Ukraine as "totally unconscionable".

The Radio Zet journalist who first reported on the event wrote on Twitter that his military sources said there were many indications of debris from a missile launched by Ukrainian air defenses. The AP news agency, citing US officials, also reported that, according to initial findings, it was a missile that Ukrainian soldiers apparently fired to repel a Russian missile. According to a report by the AFP agency, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba denied that a Ukrainian missile could have landed in Poland.

In his evening video address, Ukrainian PresidentVolodymyr Zelenskyy spoke of Russian missiles that had hit Polish territory: "Today happened what we have been warning of for a long time. The terror is not limited to the borders of our state." According to the Russian state news agency Ria Novosti, the Russian Defense Ministry described the reports from Poland as "a provocation aimed at further escalating the situation". Russian forces did not strike near the Polish-Ukrainian border. However, according to Polish media reports, the incident happened in the afternoon, at the same time as the massive Russian rocket attacks on Ukraine began.
