J.S.:  [Loud voice} We have multiple lines of communication so we can communicate with Russia in different ways ... as NATO and as allies but I cannot go into details to exactly what kind of contacts there have been over the last 24 hours.

The most used term in operations has been "peacekeeping" and defensive pact by NATO. Never, never caught truly as a force to deescalate hostilities or bring about a solutions parties can except.
