Maybe you should consider using Substacks. It is free and it is possible to open comments (at least when we receive it we can comment, but then it is stored for the author of the page to see first, if I understood correctly).
Your comments here and at MoA are extremely valuable to putting things in context and give them a perspective.
I also think that the fancy layout is not a plus. Rather slows down loading and reading.
I would be one of the readers for sure and it might help to get the possibility of getting some readers of more famous places that are interested not solely US/AU/CAN concerned.
