Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Extensive reporting by Richard Engel near Kyiv for NBC News.

Demographic and political orientation of the city residents changed significantly and predictably after the Maidan nationalists launched the civil war ("Russo-Ukrainian War") with Donetsk "separatists"--48.7:44.4 in 2002 to 59:33 in 2017, respectively; and from Opposition Bloc majority local representation to exclusion from representation in the Rada. Which implies, years before the Red Cross sought a "humanitarian corridor" for refugees (to UAF quartered Zaporizhzhia [sic] city and oblast), at least 10% of "ethnic-Russian" speakers escaped Mariupol--points west and east--as "ethnic Ukrainians" migrated into the city with the UAF-trained NATO advisors. [wikiwtf: Zaporizhia].

Lancaster speaks with "ethnic-Russians" under siege--women, children, the infirm; Engler speaks for those "Ukranians" on route to Kiev.
