Lyndon Baines Johnson and the war on poverty in Texas

I disagreed on foreign policy and the troops surge in Vietnam, but on many domestic issues Johnson was a great president with courage. A real Texan. In today's terminology, LBJ was a socialist, quite European.

You're quite right, it was a cheap shot. LBJ was indeed a progressive president. Putin isn't.
