The peculiarity of the national structure of the population of Ukraine is its multinational composition. According to All-Ukrainian population census data, the representatives of more than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups live on the territory of the country. and the government's violent struggles to discriminate between Russian "nationality", legal rights of "ethnic-Russian" citizens wherever resident, and Russian-speaking ethnic-Tatar and -Greek captives of Crimea who twice fielded referendums to secede from Ukraine's "nationalist" regimes since 1991.

The salient point is, previailing concept of a nation, or political union, called Ukraine cannot follow from methodical destruction of its constituents.
