The boycott of Israel

This poignant book describes the backgrounds, language, motivations and methods of the BDS movement, the international boycott of Israel. Various interviews show how the boycott of a small country in the Middle East has had serious consequences for the lives of people in the Netherlands.

The author studied cultural anthropology at VU University Amsterdam and has been studying the pro-Palestinian movement in the Netherlands for ten years. He goes to demonstrations and meetings to find out what moves the activists through participant observation.
