Call for military intervention is now almost off the table ... no appetite by regional states and only Nigeria would have the manpower and military might. The vast sub-Saharan nation, isolated would make it difficult for a joint U.S. - France expeditionary force to intervene. Similar to president Carter and his Special Forces got bogged down in the Iranian desert long before reaching their destination in Teheran.
