Clinton on Qaddafi: "We came, we saw, he died" | CBS News - Sept. 20, 2011 |

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared a laugh with a television news reporter moments after hearing deposed Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi had been killed.

"We came, we saw, he died," she joked when told of news reports of Qaddafi's death by an aide in between formal interviews.

Clinton was in Tripoli earlier this week for talks with leaders of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC).

They should abide by the UN Charter of neighbourly relations and work for peace, respect the sovereignty of states as agreed by the founding of the United Nations established by FDR, not Teddy Roosevelt. The Monroe Doctrine cannot and must not be expanded to Colonial Africa that has already suffered greatly under the boots of the aggressors from Europe (and during the Cold War from the Soviets and Cuba).

In Cold War 2.0 seeing a repeat performance with Arab States and China joining the fray?

The Atlantic Conference & Charter, 1941

...by the end of May, German forces had inflicted humiliating defeats upon British, Greek, and, Yugoslav forces in the Balkans and were threatening to overrun Egypt and close off the Suez Canal, thereby restricting British access to its possessions in India. When the Germans invaded the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, few policymakers in Washington or London believed that the Soviets would be able to resist the Nazi onslaught for more than six weeks. While the British Government focused its efforts on dealing with the Germans in Europe, they were also concerned that Japan might take advantage of the situation to seize British, French, and Dutch territories in Southeast Asia.

Finally, both Churchill and many members of his Cabinet were alarmed by the third point of the Charter, which mentions the rights of all peoples to choose their own government. Churchill was concerned that this clause acknowledged the right of colonial subjects to agitate for decolonization, including those in Great Britain's empire.

Churchill already backtracked on the essence of the Declaration by proposal to attack and invade the Soviet Union in the Summer-Fall of 1945 after FDR had passed away. Today with MAGA and Super MAGA under Joe Biden, all treaties are off the table and the world has receded to the ravages of the Great Depression with its anguish, poor perspective due to Climate Chance, return of nationalism (fascism) and neo-colonialism for resources and critical materials to survive the next few decades on Planet Earth in capitalist luxury.

So Zelenskyy believes he is wearing the shoes of Churchill?.
