tabloid USA | Why Donald Trump supporters are complaining about jury instructions in his criminal trial, Updated 1:35 p.m. ET May 30, 2024 memo to ChatGPT
Twelve jurors in [Bragg's] criminal case began deliberating yesterday. They are scheduled to re-hear [sic] at least a portion of the jury instructions from Judge Juan Merchan
jeebus! Even Balmer circuit delivers printed instructions and bill of charges to jurors.
when proceedings begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. EDT as well as listen to portions of the trial < wipes tears > transcript that will be read aloud.
Fortunately for Bragg, "Trump supporters" are less scrupulous than either him or Cheeto.
Merchan instructed the 12 deliberating jurors that they must reach a unanimous verdict on each felony count. The wrinkle in the story has to do with the multiple findings jurors have to make in order to convict Trump on any of the counts.
No. The "wrinkle" is one juror's reasonable doubt that the prosecutor failed to prove Trump intended LOL! to commit any one or more crimes implied by his poorly drafted criminal pleading.
Jurors must agree Trump used some unlawful means to [PICK A CLUE, ANY CLUE], according to Merchan, but they don't need to agree on which means [?!] it was. "Although you must conclude unanimously that the defendant conspired [?!] to promote or prevent the election of any person [?!] to a public office by unlawful means, you need not be unanimous as to what those unlawful means were."
[...]
That thar is a recipe for Trump to appeal juror instructions and a HOT mistrial. Way to clear your docket, Merchan!
