Zelenskyy fixer Yermak resigns over corruption | EurActiv - 1 hr ago |

Time for new elections and end to rule by martial law

Andriy Yermak, a key aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, resigned on Friday after his office was searched by the country's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).

Yermak is suspected of using his position as head of Zelenskyy's office to have law enforcement pursue NABU investigators and those prosecuting anti-corruption cases. Considered Zelenskyy's closest adviser, Yermak  was named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2024.

He had been in his post since February 2020, but his relationship with Zelenskyy dates back to the president's pre-political life, when he was a comic actor. Yermak went on to serve on Zelenskyy's election campaign team when he ran for President in 2019.
