So I restrained myself from making any comments on Ms Merkel's look (which was too big of a theme in the papers and even more so in the population), but seeing that comment I finally couldn't resist any longer:

So Ms Merkel finally got a new haircut:

And contrary to the symbolism in the story's picture, she still knows how to smile:
