Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

As Europe heats up, the Leopold Museum in Vienna, Austria has found a unique solution:

Scores of naked or scantily clad people wandered the museum, lured by an offer of free entry to "The Naked Truth," an exhibition of early 1900s erotic art, if they showed up wearing just a swimsuit – or nothing at all.

With a heat wave sweeping much of Europe, pushing temperatures into the mid-90s in Vienna, the museum decided that making the most of its cool, climate-controlled space would spur interest in the show.

"We find a naked body every bit as beautiful as a clothed one," said Elisabeth Leopold, who founded the museum with her husband, Rudolf.

So how are YOU beating the heat?

Heh,
we saw that on the TV-news here last night.

Excessive heat is not exactly our problem in eastern Norway today - we'll be lucky if it goes beyond 20°C (68°F).  Should it happen, we could always head to this place:

Which is close to the city centre and has a view in to City Hall.
In the spirit of your post I should add that there is a 'normal' section and a nudist section on this beach.

as a male tourist in Norway '86 I found Songsvann (sp?) Park much more entertaining, even though bottoms were covered. And no boom boxes, so a very quiet natural setting, so one of my favourite memories...

hmmfff, had to put a "u" in favorite to keep the spell check happy!!! When in Rome...

Sognsvann (switch the g and n) is great.  There are a couple of other lakes as well close to the city centre.
I took my son to Bogstadvannet yesterday afternoon.

What heat?

We're in England. Its been autumn this week: grey, dark, wet, cold, miserable.  Since yesterday some improvement, but excessive heat is not our problem

A good friend of mine is in Leicester and reported the same, cold wet and yucky.  All I can say is here it is blistering and sunny, perfect weather for the beach if there was one nearby!

Looks like Hungary is in the middle of a heatwave as is the Sevastopol in south of Ukraine.  Wow be perfect time go visit Sochi!

They must be joking. It's been pouring rain for the last three days. Not very comfortable on a canal barge, let me tell you!

We've sat huddled around a turf-burning stove trying to get the boat dry for the last two days. I'm home now, but had to take a warm shower earlier to try and get properly warm.

Afraid not. It's due to make much of Ireland wetter, except the east coast, and in the ultimate insult, global warming could stop the gulf stream making Ireland much, much, colder.

Well not yet but pretty soon I'll be laying here when heat comes. They say global worming is going to affect us in a tropical part of Australia greatly (like we don't have enough of heat and rain already and they are predicting more).Everything will be bearable while we have power...
This is my back yard:

We have beautiful beaches near by here as you know but one can only surf because of waves and all those sharks and jellyfish come to mind...so it's much more safer in a swimming pool and practically every house have it...It's like a central heating in Canada, ha-ha
