Man-on-Dog: Europeans have nothing to live for

by Lupin Sun Apr 2nd, 2006 at 01:13:51 AM EST

Rick Santorum spoke to the conservative Pennsylvania Leadership Conference last night. During his address he spoke about faith in the United States and compared it to the role of faith in western Europe. Here's what Rick claims is happening to western Europe because of secularism, "Those cultures are dying. People are dying. They're being overrun from overseas... and they have no response. They have nothing to fight for. They have nothing to live for."

So what is it about Europe, America? Too many protests? Not enough protests? Make up your mind.

Yeah I know the Racist Zoophile is knowingly pandering to its herd of lobotomized sheep, but still, what passes for political discourse in today's America will never cease to amaze me.

Heh. Where to begin?

I think the Crystal Meth epidemic in the US is where to begin.

Possibly more truth than snark there.

An honest survey of substance abuse, prostitution and other 'issues' among the US political class, especially the very moral right wing, would surely raise a few eyebrows.

Protesting against capitalism = evil
Protesting against secularism = good

Protesting against religion = evil
Protesting against Muslims = good

We're just not protestig against the "right" things.

That's excellent political discourse, if you ask me. What could be better than riling up a band of political stalwarts than incendiary speech? How to achieve a political end if you're going to be polite about it? This is much mroe effective, don't you think?

Remember Pat Robertson made a similar comment a couple of weeks ago.

I think they need to perpetuate a myth that we have the best way to live.  What would happen if their base found out that Europeans enjoy life more than Americans?  What happens when Americans find out they are less educated and less competitive in the world markets.

All this "churchin" has so helped our crime rates here in the US.  And, of course, we have no drug problem.
