by kcurie Wed May 17th, 2006 at 01:40:08 PM EST

The final gets closer.. and I am going to a pub in Tel-Aviv to watch it...Barcelona-Arsenal...geee

As you may guess I am rooting for Barcelona...

And I am also nervous...very nervous

I have to release the stress..so follow me for a second..I am going to make fun of pundits UPDATE: I am back...we won we won!!!!! amazing....what a game!!! I am still shaking my head!!!!! my body is shaking...eveything is shaking!!!!! Yepppaaaaa....... Keep on reading..let's have some fun!!!! please!!!!

Imagine that you that you reach the place ready for a job interview. Imagine that you are humble cabbie or an IT expert. Imagine that you are very nervous. Imagine that you are waiting there, sit down, anxious to be called in. Imagine that you are called in loudly using your name. Imagine that you follow the nice woman always behind her, without making any noise. Imagine you are in the BBC. Imagine, of course, that somehow they may want to record the interview....because it is going to be a job interview.. isn't it?

Imagine that your name is Guy

But Guy Goma not Guy Kewney.

And once you have looked carefully to the facial reaction when he knows his name and job, you can actually concentrate on the first answer.

KB: Were you surprised by this verdict today.
Mr Goma: I am very surprised to see... this verdict to come on me because I was not expecting that. When I came they told me something else and I am coming. So a big surprise anyway.
KB: A big surprise, yeah, yes.
Mr Goma: Exactly

You can wonder... does she realize what was going on and downgraded immediately the questions asked to him?
And why on hell can I find the questions and the answers perfectly fine...in any other network??

And why I think that CNN and FOX News are doing this every single day thousands of times...

Oh.. those pundits...

The World is Magic...and I hope that tonight the magic will go on.. in Paris...

Fill the comments with whatever comes to mind.. Barcelona, Arsenal...or punditry. UPDATE: Football is magic...indeed.. wonderful final..as wonderful as last year.... European football is living a great moment....let's celebrate!!!!!

Congrats to all, of course (except Arsenal fans). I saw the game yesterday in an Irish pub known to draw a large crowd of international football fans. The place was packed. Very divided, friendly crowd. I was sitting on the bar beside a bloke from England who was supporting Arsenal, but his friend beside him was cheering for Arsenal. There were many folks from Spain around as well, so a really mixed crowd.

Great game, with Arsenal opening daringly aggressive and a truly amazing goal. What a killer. I thought Barcelona was creating the more attractive football, certainly in the second half. That second goal was pure brilliance and earned bonus points for daring! No doubt that'll become a classic!

Those last ten minutes were a complete bore - with Barcelona playing the ball in circles. Then again - who would blame them...

Final point: a downer for Bergkamp - it was his last game in his carreer and he never entered the field. I attended the same school he did in Amsterdam years ago, so I always have something of a sentimental spot for him.

Good grief kcurie, you've me all worked up for the WC.

Of course, I meant to write: ...bloke from England who was supporting Arsenal, but his friend beside him was cheering for Barcelona .

Effects of too much beer...?

Great game
great game
pub night

Indeed pub night all around the world!!!

Pity the referee did not restrain the red card and  instead gave goal.

It would have been very interesting 11 against 11 but 1-0 on the score..

And still.. what a great game.

A pleasure
