Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Paris Meet-up - Follow-up!

by Fran Sun Jun 24th, 2007 at 11:54:12 AM EST

LEP's diary is becoming slow, thus a new one, which will go into the debates box were it stays visible for a while.

You will find all the links from LEP's diary below and hopefully new links for more pictures.

Diaries:

LEP's: Photos from Paris meetups

Ted Welch's: ET in Paris 07 photos - Montmartre memories

Hopefully we will also get photos from metatone, metavision and not to forget Colman, or who ever has more pictures to post. But feel also free to comment and continue the discussions and talks from the other diary.

We're back!  Our brains are either pickled or just on a later flight.  Trying to get bags unpacked and some order on things this evening.  Photos will probably be something Colman will post tomorrow...
I haven't really seen them either due to loading them onto the iPod for storeage.
Anyway...looks like we brought some of the nice weather back...skies are clear blue since some time this afternoon.

Well, sorry it's over.  Back to work, kids.

Umm, more pictures.  Trying to get mine up.

to all for the pix. It's so interesting, and much fun, to see the faces that go with the names--and to realize that very often one has assigned the wrong gender to a screen name. Oops.

How many countries were represented at this meet-up?

by Mnemosyne on Sun Jun 24th, 2007 at 05:50:18 PM EST
I have counted France, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, the US, Sweden, the UK (mostly Wales!), Japan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany (residence, not sure about nationality).

Did I miss any?

I read regularly, but by the time I get to some of the threads, it's long past time to comment, even if I had something to add. Mostly these days I just read, and learn stuff.

One day, I hope to get to a meet-up, preferably one on your side of the pond.

I've seen the pictures, now I need sounds to go along with them. I have the sounds in my head that I imagine from peoples writing, and have to go next time so that I can contrast and compare. (does Fran Really sound like that?and what about Migeru?) ;-)

Not as pleased with them as last year - I got distracted by talking to people this time. Silly me.

You guys going to be doing another one of these things? I have to be in Paris in early mid-August and again in early September, passing through both times but would love to hang a day if there's a get together.

Looked like fun...
