Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

If you had an intimate dinner with Obama

what questions would you ask him?

I am looking for questions of interest for Europeans, asked from an European perspective. Imagine those questions could be presented to an American audience.  Your question would give you the opportunity to present your "un-american" analysis. Be kind to them (and to me). What comes to your mind spontaneously?

I forgot to mention, that you would also get the chance to have a breakfast with Edwards the morning after, what would you like to discuss with him?

And don't forget both their spouses. They are kind of unique and have a lot to say.

I appreciate your input.

And what's with Hillary?

As for Obama, I'd ask him how he perceives the limits of American power, which humanitarian circumstances would cause him to use military force, how he would consult with allies, and what Samantha Power's been telling him about all these things.

Edwards I'd ask whether he will give his everything to get social and environmental standards into international trade negotiations and use Europe as a partner in this, rather than unilaterally erecting trade barriers.

I'd ask both what they plan to do on global warming and flatly point them to the immorality of the current situation and tell them that America must take up the biggest burden to restore its 'moral leadership' in anything at all.
