A Natural Event In China

This is a huge earthquake over 7 points on the scale. If you folks are interested I have gathered some links this morning. Please check here. It seems that these stories about weather extremes are more violent? Anyway.

This is a Truly Sad Item: Nearly 900 students were buried in China's Sichuan province last night by a huge earthquake. More: Bangkok workers scramble to safety after tremors from Chinese quake
and from the folks at Daily Kos from a Chinese informant: Xinhua we handling reports as quickly as possible to provide information and if you wish you may check Xinhua News English Edition although I think the news updating there may be slow since the focus is on providing news in Chinese at the moment, if you are fluant, please go to Xinhua Net for more updated information. I think International services should be reporting soon as well.

All in all, the Chinese seem to be taking it in stride with nary a moment's pause in buildup to the Olympics!
