This was originally built in 1800 or thereabouts as a farmhouse. It was moved stone by stone to St fagans museum of Welsh life. The red paint was meant to keep evil spirits away.

Here's a nice table inside it.

An old wartime post office and a red telephone box. We don't see many of those these days (phone boxes or post offices...)

The old ironmongers. Also in St Fagan's. The only thing missing in this museum is a pub really. They have a bakery.

And here is a building in the process of being transferred from it's original location and rebuilt in the museum grounds.

Knuckles don`t need restoring. Hah.
This is the second time I changed the look of it, since I got this one maybe 20 some years ago. It was a replacement for the one I`d had for years, but was stolen. A very bad day, that one.
I usually collect the parts I need to achieve the look I want.
That sometimes takes years.
This incarnation I did about 8 years ago. It looks exactly like this today.
I don`t do paint, though.
But I know every nut & bolt internally & externally.
The bike is not a restoration as there are numerous details that are not original to a `37.
The tail light is a later year one from the 40`s. The 37 one was part of the fender, for instance. For that reason, although one can still find one, they are very expensive. I`m not a purist in that sense. It was originally a "jockey" shift with a "heel & toe" clutch. I prefer suicide, so I have it set up that way. There are many other details that aren`t up to snuff as far as a restoration goes, but most people wouldn`t know, & as for me, I could care less.

I read it many years ago, but had never seen it referred to that way.
Thank you for the compliment & you are very welcome.
Now if I new how to file my images, I`d be ahead of the game.
I generate images faster than I can catalogue them. Now I fear it`s a little late.
