New Fascist Pariah States America and Israel Lashing Out

by Oui Wed Jun 20th, 2018 at 07:43:09 AM EST

During the Clinton administration Al Qaeda grew into a menace for the Global Order by their terror attacks on the WTC in 1993, the twin bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 and the attack on the USS Cole anchored with lowered defenses near Aden in Yemen. How the attacks of 9/11 has changed not only the face of the world by wars and millions of victims and a record number of refugees and displaced persons from North Africa, the Middle East and in the AfPak region. None of the imperial military campaign by the mightiest sword of America has done much good, much more evil has come from it. The effort after the Great War of 1939-1945 to maintain International Law and Human Rights has been undone. The latest move by the United States in regards to the United Nations must hve come from the playbook of John Bolton. Bolton is a monster not of Trump's making but has roamed the fringes of the Republican Party until the fringe became mainstream in tte 21st American Century. Bolton played a role in the 2000 election fraud in Florida and counting the votes. America a state based on corporate fraud, deception and trillions of wealth stashed outside US territory to avoid paying a fair share of taxes which now places a burden on ordinary citizens. Capitalism trumps a decent wage for the working class who are doomed on health issues because a fair Heath Care is lacking. I am quite fortunate to be residing in Western Europe, a Social Democratic nation. The Third Way bull shit has shifted politics from the left to the right and the WOT did the rest.

Xenophobia and Islamophobia Roots of Today's Triad of Evil

Continued below the fold ...

See the history of all my writings since 2004 where I predicted Western "Civilization" was headed with the populist politicians carrying the platform based solely on Xenophobia and Islamophobia. A bond created in hell between the Jewish State of Israel and the Western European nations claiming their heredity and identity are based on Judeo-Christan values. Utter bs from politicians to make such a claim. Unfortunately that has become mainstream and reality in today's world of artificial news and state propaganda. Wars by proxies, cyberwarfare and large tech corporations interfering in democracy and by extension in elections. See also my recent writings on State propaganda contracted to private organizations to influence public opinion on waging proxy war for regime change - see Libya, Syria and Yemen.

Will we at last see the great divide developing on our planet as the forces of evil are bound together and the rest of the nations are tired of the bullying and bribing to give political cover for international war crimes?

US drops out of UN Human Rights Council - Diplomatic Games too Costly

US pulls out of UN Human Rights Council, calling it `an exercise in shameless hypocrisy' for letting China join and creating Israel scrutiny rule | SCMP |

The United States has pulled out of the United Nations Human Rights Council, with Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley calling it "a mockery of human rights" for allowing China - among other countries - to join, and for a rule that scrutinises Israel's treatment of the Palestinian people.

"For too long, the Human Rights Council has been a protector of human rights abusers, and a cesspool of political bias," Haley said on Tuesday at the State Department in Washington in a joint speech with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

She said the decision was an affirmation of US respect for human rights, a commitment that "does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organisation that makes a mockery of human rights".

Her remarks came the day after the council lambasted the US for separating migrant families at its border with Mexico - timing that Haley refused to comment on.

Echoing Anti-Palestinian MK Lies, GOP Claims Children Separated From Parents at Border Are Neither Families, Nor Children | Tikun Olam |

The myriad ways in which the Israeli national security state oppresses Palestinians have seeped into American security and counter-terror practice. Everything from armed drones used in targeted assassinations to racial profiling at checkpoints and airports, to the militarization of police, to cyber-surveillance of social media discourse: each of these tactics was first developed by Israel and then transferred into standard American military and security procedure.

Apparently, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Ann Coulter have been following the Israeli playbook in light of the rising furor over ICE's forced separation of immigrant families at the U.S. border.

...
Where did Nielsen learn these arts of magical thinking which can deny what she sees in front of her eyes? From the master, Bibi Netanyahu who she met in Israel only six days ago!

So there you have it: when faced with national outrage over treating children with advanced brutality, Republicans resort to the Israeli playbook: if you're losing the public relations battle, say anything, the more outrageous the better, in order to divert attention from the real issue. And hey, don't worry about insulting Palestinians or Mexicans. They're neither Israeli nor American. They don't count. No one will care anyway. You'll get away with it.

If you're pro-Israel be proud, be very proud. America takes only the best and Israel, you are the `best' at what you do!

United States gathered another BIG DEFEAT at the U.N. General Assembly vote on crimes against the Palestinian people

Columbia and Australia both play a role in the North Korea War Games, interesting combination of joint military exercises with the United States. Any surprise to read Ivan Duque, a conservative, "won" the run-off election in Columbia who vows to tear up the truce with FARC rebels. Smells a lot about a CIA operation in South America, a Kissinger redux.

Interesting the new role by Columbians in te United Arab Emirates under leadership of Trump crony Erik Prince ... from The New York Times in 2011:

Secret Desert Force Set Up by Blackwater's Founder

Late one night last November, a plane carrying dozens of Colombian men touched down in this glittering seaside capital. Whisked through customs by an Emirati intelligence officer, the group boarded an unmarked bus and drove roughly 20 miles to a windswept military complex in the desert sand.

The Colombians had entered the United Arab Emirates posing as construction workers. In fact, they were soldiers for a secret American-led mercenary army being built by Erik Prince, the billionaire founder of Blackwater Worldwide, with $529 million from the oil-soaked sheikdom.

Mr. Prince, who resettled here last year after his security business faced mounting legal problems in the United States, was hired by the crown prince of Abu Dhabi to put together an 800-member battalion of foreign troops for the U.A.E., according to former employees on the project, American officials and corporate documents obtained by The New York Times.

The force is intended to conduct special operations missions inside and outside the country, defend oil pipelines and skyscrapers from terrorist attacks and put down internal revolts, the documents show. Such troops could be deployed if the Emirates faced unrest in their crowded labor camps or were challenged by pro-democracy protests like those sweeping the Arab world this year.

The U.A.E.'s rulers, viewing their own military as inadequate, also hope that the troops could blunt the regional aggression of Iran, the country's biggest foe, the former employees said. The training camp, located on a sprawling Emirati base called Zayed Military City, is hidden behind concrete walls laced with barbed wire. Photographs show rows of identical yellow temporary buildings, used for barracks and mess halls, and a motor pool, which houses Humvees and fuel trucks. The Colombians, along with South African and other foreign troops, are trained by retired American soldiers and veterans of the German and British special operations units and the French Foreign Legion, according to the former employees and American officials.

In outsourcing critical parts of their defense to mercenaries -- the soldiers of choice for medieval kings, Italian Renaissance dukes and African dictators -- the Emiratis have begun a new era in the boom in wartime contracting that began after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. And by relying on a force largely created by Americans, they have introduced a volatile element in an already combustible region where the United States is widely viewed with suspicion.

The United Arab Emirates -- an autocracy with the sheen of a progressive, modern state -- are closely allied with the United States, and American officials indicated that the battalion program had some support in Washington.

"The gulf countries, and the U.A.E. in particular, don't have a lot of military experience. It would make sense if they looked outside their borders for help," said one Obama administration official who knew of the operation. "They might want to show that they are not to be messed with."

[Update-1] Keeping JDW up to date with the use of “Jewish” State of Israel by racist Netanyahu to the exclusion of its Arab Citizns … where to start?

An American translation of Netanyahu’s racist get out the vote speech | Mondoweiss – March 2015 |

In a video below Katie Halper “translated” Netanyahu’s racist emergency election appeal:

The Republican leadership is in danger.
Black voters are coming out in droves to the polls
Left wing organizations are busing them out.

Get out to vote, bring your friends and family, vote Republican in order
to close the gap between us and the Democrats.

With your help and the help of God,
We will build a nationalist government that will protect the United States of America.

We’re grateful to Halper for making Netanyahu’s screed more accessible to the American public. There’s something very eery about hearing the tone of his voice while reading those words.

At the end Halper asks “Can you imagine if an American politician said that?” There’s been an excess of commentary about the racist nature of the speech on social media with many wondering how it would fly in this country. Of course all hell would break out in the press if during a U.S. presidential campaign one of the leading candidates warned blacks, or Jews, were flooding to the polls funded by foreign interests and we should all go out and vote to counter them. It would be condemned (even if there is a history of doing just this). But the issue here is that Netanyahu did exactly this in 2015, and in a place like Israel it works. Why is that? And what does it say about the supposed shared values between Israel and the United States?

Taken from my diary @BooMan ..

Jews Should Disown Stephen Miller, Trump's Architect

[Update-2] My comment to JDW and OAG:

Ever since the atrocities of Iraq War I have focused my writings on the Middle East, though not exclusively. The headline is from a Jewish publication The Forward. I use mostly Jewish sources for my information, posts and debate: Mondoweiss, Tikun Olam by Richard Silverstein, the Jerusalem Post, The New York Times, Ynet News, Times of Israel, etc.

There have been diarists @BooMan who wrote exclusively about a single topic: Mattes, shergald, Jeff Huber and Iraq stories.

Netanyahu himself focuses on the Jewishness of the State of Israel, I oppose his meme of no Palestinian state next to Israel and the theft of Palestinian land. The USA has allied itself with Israel and fought wars in the Middle East to create chaos and eliminate governing regimes in neighbouring states. The old colonial powes Great Britain and France have their own preference for coalition with political parties in the Middle East. See the alliance with warmongering Arabian states of the Gulf nations and Lebanon. The proxy wars in Libya and Syria created havoc in the region and caused a stream of refugees heading towards Europe in 2015 and 2016.

The rise of Xenophobia and Islamophoia was encouraged and funded by lobby groups connected to Israel. The hasbara trolls of Israel swarming the universities across America are also funded and supported by the State of Israel, specifically the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) Netanyahu.

It's a shame none of you with so much criticism fail to write about the state of affairs in the greater Middle East. Only with American lives at stake will you raise your voice? Why am I not surprised with so much knowledge and historical facts lacking, the American people voted an idiot into Office. Keeping you busy I would reckon.

Gerald Steinberg, co-founder NGO Monitor, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Israeli Government | Tikun Olam |

The reason all this is important is that there are a host of pro-Israel NGOs including Im Tirzu, Shurat HaDin, NGO Monitor, and one they don’t mention, StandWithUs, which purport to be independent watchdogs with no political axe to grind. This stance allows them to make a claim of being dispassionate and disinterested regarding official Israeli government interests. In fact, just as the CIA was found to have secretly funded and co-opted liberal groups in the 1950s, the Israeli government is doing the same now.

How predictable … same morals, same type of guy now in the White House … no need to be a prophet!

The Knesset officially declares that Israeli democracy is for Jews only | Mondoweiss – June 13, 2018 |

Together with the eight Members of Knesset of the Jewish Home, the Presidency could field 95 MKs out of 120 to vote the bill down. And yet, it was considered too dangerous to debate.

Just what was so problematic in the bill? The Knesset legal counsel, Eyal Yanon, said it clearly:

“[The bill] contains several articles which are meant to change the character of Israel from the national state of the Jewish People into a state which grants equal status, from the national point of view, to the Jewish nation and the Arab nation.”
That is, the very debate about the bill would have raised troubling questions, proving yet again that a Jewish state and a democratic one cannot co-exist. They’re a contradiction in terms.

… the Knesset and its homo sovieticus chairman, Yuli Edelstein, are busy promoting the Nationality Bill, which will delimit the space allowed Palestinian Israelis even more. The Knesset has made its choice; now let it live with it.

UAE denies trying to influence Trump's election | Arab News |

The United Arab Emirates did not try to influence the election of Donald Trump, a minister said, following reports that the president's son met with an envoy representing the crown princes of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

"Attention needs to be paid to facts over innuendo & speculation; the UAE made no effort to influence the 2016 US election," Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Twitter.

"Like other governments friendly to the US, UAE officials had contact with staff & advisers in both 2016 presidential campaigns to inform and be informed of the candidates' foreign policy positions."

The New York Times last week reported on a meeting in August 2016 at which Lebanese-American businessman George Nader told Donald Trump, Jr. that the Gulf Arab leaders were eager to help his father win the election.

From a reply [translation mine] ...

Arab proverb: "There is nothing to be loved about you except your wealth... that's all that you've got." ... America is obsessed with the whole world with a state that has no political or economic value, and a river that has been influenced or made by a decision in America.

Difficult to decipher the conversation ... this man must be from Qatar as I found this in his twitter feed ...

No love lost between the GCC States (Wahhabism) and Qatar (Muslim Brotherhood)

In August 2016, Nader met with Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower offering assistance to the his father's presidential campaign. Nader served as an envoy representing Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and de facto ruler Mohammad bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The meeting included Blackwater founderErik Prince again and Joel Zamel, an Israeli specialist in social media manipulation. [Source: WikiPedia]

As I have written for so long, comes as  no surprise to many ...

U.S. Missing in Child Rights Convention

On Nov. 20th 2014, the whole world will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the world's most universally ratified human rights treaty, the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Sadly, the United States of America won't be at the party or will simply be watching from the sidelines.

The U.S. remains the odd man - the odd country - out, accompanied only by Somalia and South Sudan in having failed to ratify this landmark instrument of international law.

The absence of Somalia and South Sudan is understandable as these are among the world's most fragile, failed or failing states. But one would expect the U.S. which claims to be a great champion of human rights in the world to be at the front and centre of this celebration, not missing in action.

One hundred ninety-four nations - including all of America's closest allies -- have ratified the CRC. It baffles non-Americans, and even many Americans, as to why the U.S. is reluctant to ratify this Convention.

This example of negative "American exceptionalism" is illogical and perverse. The Convention upholds the very same principles that underpin American democracy. It says that all children, everywhere, have the same human rights to survive and thrive, to learn and contribute.

It obligates states that embrace it to do all that is humanly possible to ensure children's wellbeing, dignity and protection. It is supportive of parents and respectful of cultures.

Several governors refuse to deploy US National Guard as migrant crisis grows | France24 |

Governors of multiple East Coast states are refusing to deploy National Guard troops to the US-Mexico border amid a growing outcry over a Trump administration immigration policy that has led to migrant children being separated from their parents.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, announced Tuesday morning on his Twitter account that he has ordered four crewmembers and a helicopter to immediately return from where they were stationed in New Mexico.

"Until this policy of separating children from their families has been rescinded, Maryland will not deploy any National Guard resources to the border," Hogan tweeted.

I ordered our 4 crewmembers & helicopter to immediately return from where they were stationed in New Mexico.

Gratuitous gestures such as this (not to mention refusing either to endorse or condemn Trump in '16) are sufficient to secure Larry "Mag-lev" Hogan's second term. "Limousine" Democrats, circling the beltways of DC and Bal'more, will assure his victory ... despite their party's tenuous grasp of the Assembly and pronounced class conflict. This segment is as willing to compartmentalize "progressive" policy objectives as are so-called salon columnists, purporting to critique state business from the stratosphere.

Silicon Valley CEOs say new US border policy to separate children from parents is `abhorrent'.

The internet this week reverberated with the plaintive, distressed cries of children being separated from their parents by US border guards. These were sounds that would break the hardest of hearts. But, seemingly, not some of those on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Silicon Valley tech CEOs have added their voices to the chorus of protests against the Trump administration's zero-tolerance border policy that is splitting up families.

`Kids are the most vulnerable people in any society. I
think that what's happening is inhumane, it needs to
    stop'
    - TIM COOK

Google CEO Sundar Pichai tweeted: "The stories and images of families being separated at the border are gut-wrenching. Urging our government to work together to find a better, more humane way that is reflective of our values as a nation."

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky said: "Ripping children from the arms of their parents is heartless, cruel, immoral and counter to the American values of belonging.

"The US government needs to stop this injustice and reunite these families. We are a better country than this."

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an interview in The Irish Times: "It's heartbreaking to see the images and hear the sounds of the kids.

"Kids are the most vulnerable people in any society. I think that what's happening is inhumane, it needs to stop.

"We've always felt everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. In this case, that's not happening."

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a post: "Organisations like Texas Civil Rights Project and RAICES are doing great work helping families at the US border get legal advice and translation services, as well as documenting what is happening on the ground to make sure these stories are shared. I've donated to them and I encourage you to as well. We need to stop this policy right now."

Microsoft feels chill from ICE storm

Redmond-based Microsoft hit out at the new US border policy but also faced a controversy of its own when concerns were raised that its cloud technology might be used by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to facilitate the controversial policy.

Microsoft president Brad Smith blogged:

"This is rapidly becoming a momentous week in the history of immigration for the United States. As the House of Representatives prepares to vote on two major bills, we need our elected officials to get things right. In part, we need Congress to address the Dreamers and those affected by the green card backlog. We need improved security at the border. And, perhaps more than anything, we need Congress to remember the fundamental decency and humanitarian spirit that defines us as a people and a nation. In short, we need to take care of children."

Immigration policy defines what sort of human beings we have become, not just in America but across the Western world.

["]Facebook["] group raises $8 million for detained immigrants
It was launched by Charlotte and Dave Willner, who [were] ["]early employees["] of Facebook who now work for Pinterest and AirBNB, according to a report in The Mercury News
"$40,000 an hour"
While the biggest donations to the Willners' campaign came from some of their wealthy Bay Area connections, the campaign reached a broader audience as the number of donations increased but the giving amount dipped to $5 and $10, Charlotte said.
"These aren't kids we don't have to care about. They're like our kids," Charlotte Willner told The Mercury News. "When we look at the faces of these children, we can't help but see our own children's faces."
[...]
More than 211,400 people since have donated $8 million as of Wednesday morning. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, the company's chief operating officer, are among those who have donated to the campaign.

The great Melania Trump mystery. Does she really care? | The Guardian |

For about two hours on Thursday, the optics were just the way the White House wanted them. Melania Trump made an unannounced trip to McAllen, Texas to get a first-hand look at the border crisis and the media was filled with pictures of the first lady looking caring and concerned, while she asked officials how she could help reunite children with their families. Melania was even sitting in front of the words 'acts of kindness' in the press photos, which one imagines was no happy accident.

A few hours later, however, rather different pictures of Melania started to circulate ... the first lady, it was discovered, had worn a $39 Zara jacket:

Had it been an unfortunate oversight? Or had it been deliberately chosen, either to send a message to Trump's base or distract the media?
