The "intelligent' Dutch citizens not following advise given by political leader Mark Rutte ... the leader of a one year old caretaker government had followed a zig-zag policy of herd immunity ... easing most restrictions too early ... more concerned about political consequences than health issues of the tens of thousands stricken by the SARS CoV-2 illness. The death rate is increasing as Mark Rutte refuses to take responsibility sometimes hiding behind science, afterwards the virologists resign because Rutte doesn't follow advise of the broad WOT Group (British SAGE equivalent).
The very high trust in his policy has collapsed as the Dutch are facing their fourth or fifth spike in infections ... taking decisions late as the numbers rise exponentially.
Furthermore, there is very poor adherence to the mitigation rules required to lower the R number which has been above 1.2 for many consecutive weeks. Dumb, dumber, dumbest ... Trump, Johnson and Rutte in a dead heat. His RIVM leading scientist should have been given the pink slip over a year ago.

Covid test firm in fraud allegation said GGD told them to issue QR codes
Covid-19 testing company Spoedtest.nl said it created coronavirus recovery certificates at the request of health service GGD. The company responded to a Ministry of Health announcement that Spoedtest.nl was no longer suspected of vaccination certificate fraud but did incorrectly create Covid recovery certificates.
According to Spoedtest.nl director Rasmus Emmelkamp, the company issued these certificates at the GGD's request. The GGD "obliged" the company to use the HKVI system to create recovery certificates for people who asked for one after they recovered from the coronavirus.

Where the British do have a well performing policy for self-testing, it appears the Dutch have been cheating on corona pass checks and manufacturing fraudulent passes, especially for the "smart" group of young adults and students. Many mayors in the larger cities are abused by the loud protests of anti-vaxxers where the group fundamental Christians have joined to stay unvaccinated as a policy of bodily integrity.

Every evening one choose from a number of television talk shows which do their best to attract the young crowd from social media with daily polls to gauge the mood. The participant are clearly chosen for prominence and ignorance about science and set policy to prevent more infections. I find this extremely disturbing, sign if the times where rightwing politics have raised the Dutch tricolor as nationalist symbol. Craziness.
Holiday Island Curacao tightens restrictions on Dutch travelers
The island of Curacao designated the Netherlands a very high-risk area starting today. For travelers from the Netherlands, this means they'll have to show a negative PCR coronavirus test no older than 48 hours when arriving on the island. They'll also have to take an antigen test three days later, NOS reports.
The measures apply to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers alike. Curacao is concerned about the high number of coronavirus infections in the Netherlands.
On the island itself, only 28 people tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend. The local authorities would like to keep that number as low as possible to prevent another lockdown.

ChristenUnie coalition party wants to test everyone instead of 2G policy
The Christian Union has major objections in principle to the cabinet‘s proposal for a 2G access pass, in which unvaccinated people can no longer receive a QR code. Instead, the party wants everyone, including vaccinated people, to get tested to get a QR code.
Without the support of the coalition party, it is very questionable whether there will be a majority for the 2G proposal. CDA, GroenLinks and the PvdA, among others, are still in doubt about the measure.
“Prevent further polarization”
The cabinet said on Friday that it is working on a law to stop allowing unvaccinated persons to locations where the risks of infection are greatest, such as crowded pubs, festivals and events. According to ChristenUnie MP Mirjam Bikker, this measure leads to too much divide in society between vaccinated and unvaccinated persons.
